I have always wanted to own a foxhound, however they are not the most suitable of creatures to become a pet. After many years I was able to have my foxhound. I could not believe my luck when I saw the litter & Janet offered me Mascot, he took my eye immediately. His early promise has been fulfilled...the comments that he attracts from everyone from Masters to championship show judges have been amazing. He truly is "the foxhound that fits the standard" A fantastic day for Mascot at Crufts 2009 winning BOB - many thanks to Mrs Denise Courtney, hound specialist, for recognising this young lad's many attributes. Mascot showed his socks off and the numerous compliments from show & hunting folk have meant a lot to us. We were so proud of Mascot, who simply flew on the green carpet!!
In 2007 he was only lightly campaigned. He was Best of Breed NSC & shortlisted for BIS at The Hound Association of Scotland Championship show. Best Dog at Richmond Ch show & Darlington Ch show. Best Dog NSC at SKC Ch show in August. 3rd BIS at the first Hound Club of East Anglia show, then RBIS at the next!! And to top that he then won BEST IN SHOW at the spring show in 2008...ably handled by Annette ...THANK YOU!!
He actually is a true gent to live with, helped greatly by the fact that he think he is a hamilton! He is very much my dog & I am very proud of the fact that he will never follow a rabbit or hare scent. Congratulations to his brother, Harambee Marlin - Best of Breed at Crufts 2007
