HATTIE, as she is known, is the first hamilton that I owned, whelped 26th May 1997 I had to wait patiently before I could own her. I could not have asked for a better introduction, both in terms of her personality and her prowess in the show ring, the field and if it had been allowed the show jumping arena! Anyone, who is anybody, knows "The Milliner's Mistress" is, her reputation stands before her! Her sire is a son of SUCH SJCH Raxa, Sweden's top winning hamilton of all time. Considering that she was barely shown until she was out of junior classes, and has taken plenty of time out to raise three litters, her show record speaks for itself. Hattie's is the most devoted, loving and gentle natured girl, she is a real character, full of attitude but a total mummy's girl. She can open fridge doors, even with a basic child lock! But she also posses that extra attitude in the ring, she was hard work as youngster in the ring, typical Hattie, a mind of her own. As she grew up her show presence blossomed, she is un-mistakable, and really does not need me hindering her in the ring! She loves showing, and over the years she has reluctantly handed the baton onto my other hamiltons, but she is not amused when she sees the show bag going into the car and she is not coming with me. She will strop like a teenager when we get home, if she has not been showing with us! She was actually dam of the world's first ever hamilton AI litter. Out of her 14 offspring, some have entered the show ring, just a few of their achievements are Top Winning Hamilton in the UK x 3, Crufts Best Of Breed winner x 3, Crufts Best Bitch x 2, Crufts Best Puppy, an Australian Champion and many, many other numerous, more than 3, awards! However most importantly they are all happy, healthy and much loved pets, and we are in contact with all of those that did not stay with us at Kilcavan.
