TOP WINNING  HAMILTONSTÖVARE PUPPY 1999

PENNY, as she is known, was bought from Diane Cook of the famous Tedandi hamiltons, whelped 5th November 1998. Her sire was the UK's top winning hamilton 1997, '98, '99 and 2000, top rare breed & UK's runner-up top winning hound over all!!   Penny herself has only been very lightly shown, as Hattie took up a lot of time, but has proved herself in the show ring time and time again. If Penny is not in the mood, then she is happiest roaring around at home.  She is very reminiscent of her sire and does show beautifully and has collected many many honours along the way.  As a puppy at the Hamilton Club's 10th anniversary show she was awarded not only Best Puppy in Show but also Reserve best bitch, in fact Hattie took BB and her sire, Vinnie, took BIS - a real family affair.
Her puppies have also had started off their show careers on great notes, with one taking BPB at Crufts, but most importantly they are all loved pets. Penny has an amazing nose and phenomenal stamina, she really can keep working all day.  She is a total treasure around the house, always to be found occupying a whole sofa and keeping the youngsters in their place - she is after all entitled to a whole sofa!  Penny is so chilled out all the time, especially when it is raining, there is no way she is getting wet!  She is a true lady and behaves accordingly, she is always where I am, although she acts like a total daddy's girl, he does spoil her rotten though.
She has not been a lead for years now, and loves nothing better than spending a day chilling out up the farm. She is totally trustworthy and is great at keeping the rabbits down!  Her latest toy is a new John Deere Gaitor, she can now ride about her kingdom in style!  She is so precious to us and such a character that she keeps us amused all the time, especially with her "old fashioned" looks!!
